Katie Clampit, LMSW, is a social work professional with over five years of experience in program development, management, and evaluation. She received her Master of Social Work at the University of Southern California with a concentration on communities, businesses, and organizations.
Katie has spent the past few years working with The Dannon Project, a nonprofit in Birmingham, AL, managing multiple federal grants, doing data management and analysis, and providing training and technical assistance to various organizations. She met Dr. Kimberly Broomfield-Massey while working with the State of Alabama on the Stepping Up Project, which was implemented in multiple counties across the state.
At UMC, Katie assists Dr. Broomfield-Massey with project evaluation and report writing, including a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion project through the United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC). Her areas of expertise include reentry services for returning citizens, trauma-informed and crisis care, program development and analysis, and grants management and reporting.
In her free time, Katie loves to curl up with a hot cup of coffee and a book or hang out with her husband and son.
